Roe buck

Back to work today! Day #3 of #30dayswild was spent surveying  Houghton Meadows NR, which has three flower-rich ridge-and-furrow meadows that are cut for hay each year, together with two pastures, currently a sea of yellow Meadow Buttercup. I disturbed a pair of Roe deer from the largest field, where a Barn Owl was also hunting along the boundary hedges, probably seeking prey for its hungry chicks.
