NHS Commemoration

After a breakfast at Starbucks (across the road from the hotel - and cheaper) we went shopping for cat supplies (carry box, litter etc.) and then shopping for stuff for the hospital patient. We then went to catch and crate the cats….no mean feat, I can tell you! Had to rearrange an already full car to accommodate cats in crates and all their trappings before heading to Shrewsbury to visit the hospital.

Outside the hospital is this sculpture which (according to the British ironwork centre website) was created to celebrate 70 years of the NHS and takes the form of a heart, symbolising our nation’s love for the NHS whilst depicting a fascinating story of medical history and legacy. The extra shows the sculpture base.

Mid afternoon and we are currently heading east on the M54… heaven knows what time we will get home tonight.
