Fly!

The two guest cats have not really shown themselves again today, we get just an occasional glimpse! I guess all the new sounds and smells are overwhelming.

I was out in the garden trying (unsuccessfully) to photograph one of the many bumble bees on our foxglove flowers, but it was quite overcast and gloomy so no good for capturing moving bees!

I did see this fly perched on one of the buds of an aquilegia plant. It posed long enough for me to to grab a shot - the big white mass to the right is “cuckoo spit.
