A4 Class Pacific "Union of South Africa"

This morning we were up and out sharp to catch this engine at Linlithgow. We did get a few good pics at Linlithgow Bridge but got snagged up at roadworks and traffic lights in the town centre and missed her out on the far side, Damn!
Later, after a most enjoyable lunch with Fiona, Lyall and Lyall's parents, we were back on the road seeking more train shots. We arrived at Culross in sunshine but a few minutes after, the rain started. Fortunately I was standing with my back to the breeze so I managed to keep the camera dry but wet trousers were the order of the day! After a 20 minute wait, the sun came out again, (and everyone's trousers began to steam) then that mellow chime whistle sounded in the distance and in a moment the train was on us and away again.
We then moved off to another site where we found a good viewpoint but the above, taken at Culross, is my best for the day.
Back home and wet clothes changed, we are now settling down and trying to warm up again!
