Tree climbing

There is something very interesting about this old birch tree but I don’t know what it is. Every time we pass it, Bertie has to have a very detailed sniff around the base of the tree. Today he took it even further and did his best to climb up the tree but he was at a major disadvantage…… he has very short legs.
It was another lovely day but turned cooler in the afternoon. I think there is a change on the way.
