Hurry Up and Wait
The cormorants continue to grow. It's hard to see the fourth one, but sharp eyes will see his profile in the nest.
I did not have surgery today, and I probably will not have surgery tomorrow. Maybe Friday. The shortage of ICU nurses is apparently a national problem. I have been assured that they will not forget about me. In the meantime, I have a couple bonus days to enjoy the sunshine, check on the cormorants, and watch the newly sprouted beans reach for the sky. I saved seeds from three kinds of string beans last year, and this eager growing, this affirmation of life, is the most exciting thing to happen today.
