Long shadows, winter days

Our days are so short as we gallop towards the winter solstice. The sun describes a low arc in the northern sky. I know, not as low as London in winter but still a pain for driving unless you're going south. I saw the last of the sun at 4.50. I know, in London it gets dark at 4pm but still, I raced against the clock to get this blip. First I had to: pump up the tyres because we're going away next week; knit tiny garments; make and blindbake pastry as the heavily pregnant daughter wants not one but two pumpkin pies. Whatever she needs.

My extra is a tiny hat.

Thanks for hosting Steveng. Happy mid week all.
