Dangerous

Yesterday lost one of our chickens to a harrier. The time of year is very dangerous and will last a few months as they feed their young later.

Angie got herself a full trailer of small hay bales from a local part time farmer who does these 'old-fashioned' small bales. Ideal for horses but costly by comparison.

Useless fact - you may see German registered trailers (& some vehicles) with green coloured letters & numbers on their plates, but otherwise is´identical to the normal black ones. They are for sport trailers and means you don't need extra 3rd party insurance & pay much reduced road tax. BUT, they have to be used exclusively for sport purposes, which as in our case is an Ifor Williams horse trailer. However, the moment using it is not sport then you are using it illegally. That includes transporting hay bales. Yes, you can have an appropriate amount of hay to feed the horses during the transport but they must be on board.

So I naturally have black plates & pay the tax as we often use the trailer for general transport.
