Damselfly

JJ went off to get a blood test this morning and then to drop a few things off at the tip, so I unlocked the back gate and took a careful walk over the back.  I think we’ve lost the battle with brambles, thistles and nettles, it’s all grown up so fast, and there’s nothing I can do about it whilst my back is so bad.

A few large heath butterflies which wouldn’t co-operate, one skipper and not a lot else.  The buttercups have been profuse but are going over now.  Lots of dock, which is useful for when I get nettled.

Little squirrel got stuck in the squirrel-proof cage this morning and was dragging it around the patio until it fell off onto the grass and tipped up.  I doubt it’ll teach it anything.
