Halls Croft

The Shakespeare birthday celebrations carried on over the weekend with free entry to the Birthplace Trust properties today as well as yesterday.

We didn't get out until after lunch when Emma came round and we went for coffee. Later we decided to 'do' Halls Croft in Old Town. This town house dating from 1613, celebrating its four hundredth birthday, was the home of Susanna Hall, daughter of William Shakespeare, and her husband Doctor John Hall.

I saw this pair of artefacts at the house; the garden sculpture is based on A Midsummer Night's Dream, not sure who the gentleman is ;-)
