Prickly Subject

Nice morning, lovely sunny day. Went to mow the lawn for G&J, my wife's antiquarian parents.

There was a tremendous amount of shouting. But that is quite normal. They are both profoundly deaf. It is usually a neighbour three doors away who answers my questions. It is that bad.

They have a tiny garden, surrounded by hugely overgrown shrubs. But it is actually very pleasant, very private, and they like it.

The pyracantha should have been pruned years ago. But it wasn't, so here you see it in all its fifteen foot high glory.

The blossom will be replaced by a bounteous harvest of orange berries later in the year. The blackbirds love it.

In other news 19 got into a fight with 20.
