'...messing about in boats'

Well...there's not much more I can add about the Norfolk Broads boat trip that M, B and I enjoyed that isn't admirably covered in Bom's blip:

Except to say that we all had a brilliant day poodling up and down the River Bure in our picnic boat, stopping for lunch at Ranworth Broad and visiting a fabulous little nature reserve on the way back.  Hoveton Broad has been reserved just for wildlife, no boats allowed and the only way to reach it is by boat.  As well as the excitement at watching an Osprey feed we were also treated to the sight of the 'tern raft' where a number of common terns were nesting...the chicks were incredibly cute (but too far away for a photo).

As you can see M was enjoying steering the boat.  The extra is my dream house...when I win the lottery!

What a great shared birthday present for us all to enjoy, even the weather was perfect.
