The Boss

On patrol in his territory my emperor dragonfly was seeing off all the pesky chasers which were lining the canal vegetation. 

Breezy again today with a large amount of cloud too so not a huge amount of flight action or even perching action as the reeds were swaying violently from side to side. The intermittent sun brought out the insects and I have a poor shot of an emperor taking a brimstone butterfly and eating it on the wing. Interesting to see though in the Extra.
