The Brides

As we walked down St John Street on our way to the car park heard a piper and a large crowd waiting to cross the road. This was the large crowd. Two brides and countless women in floaty long chiffon dresses of various colours heading over the road to the Salutation hotel for the reception. Observation: I have never seen so many folks smoking in a long time. So many folks dont smoke anymore which is great. I think 13 quid per packet must be a factor?

Up at mums then home for a nice tea of lemon sole baked in the oven with a mix of garlic, spring onions , vinegar, oil and oregano. I love this meal. Served with green beans and rice. Easy and healthyish.

The book is a revelation! No wonder supermarket bread is a cause of stomach issues!
