Some Drama in Ihop today.

A friend invited me out for IHop today.  It is a pancake chain that I enjoy.  So naturally, I accepted the invite and the chaufeuring.   When we were inside, we were told to find a seat, there was an emergency.  It turned out that an gentleman (with previous stroke experience)  didn't feel well.  He recognized the symptoms and asked the Ihop staff to call 911 and get EMT's.  In the US they are Emergency Medical Technicians, associated with the fire dept.  They also drive ambulances and answer emergency calls.  
      We sat down and then waited patiently while the EMT's did their thing, right next to our table.  I was able to get a back photo of the guys with a stretcher after the gentleman was on it.   It's always amazing to watch those professionals do their job,  with precision, skill and kindness for the elderly.    We are very fortunate to have a 911 system in this country where emergency help is only a phone call away.  
     It is very upsetting to me to know that some cities have had to alter the 911 process because of funding and staffing shortages.  The EMT's are Heros, to me.   God Bless Them All!
