Breakfast of champions

First stop, Mount Florida. Owen isn’t expecting us, but he graciously puts on some clothes and comes down to open the door.

The tv is on, as is the laptop. The remnants of last night are scattered over the desk. On the floor is his A3 printer, on which he is rendering some floral photos he’s taken in the Cowshed garden. They’re good.

He accepts a banana as a breakfast offering and makes us coffee/tea. His next stop is his mums. We’re heading back to Kirkurd. Where the rain severely hampered play.

The afternoon passes, and then it’s time to get dinner ready. Cabbage greens from the garden, roast potatoes, slow cooked carrots, and a honey and mustard glazed joint of pork.

I crack open the Ricard for an aperitif. And the evening has begun.
