Timber......

Strong winds have brought down one of the spruces in our hedge. It actually snapped at about 4 metres above ground. I suspect the drought of early spring means the sap hasn't risen to make it flexible.

With all the wood from the beavers to turn into firewood, we don't really need any more, but at least it is softwood which is actually recommended for fires like ours rather than the hardwood from the beavers. Beavers don't attack spruce because of the seemingly horrible tasting sap!
