Rydal Water

Our Lakes Tour continues with trip out today to Rydal Mount, one of the homes occupied by the poet William Wordsworth. We did not go into the house as we were beaten to the front door by a group of 30 plus school kids from the USA.  We elected to walk around the garden which, even on a dull day was beautiful. 
After this we headed off down to do a walk we had found on the interweb, a 4.5 miler up to Loughrigg Fell, returning via the terrace path.This shot of Rydal Water was taken from the descending path off the fell.  The clouds have remained grey and dull all day with no sun.
