Do as you preach

I am highly critical of the mad silage driven grass cutting of most farmers in the area. At least, we do try our best to leave most of the garden to do its own thing until mid or end of June. We do have to mow the horse fields soon as the buttercups are taking over and will be shedding seed soon. Fresh buttercups are poisonous (not so in dried hay) & give the horses diarrhoea.
