Löwenzahn

Like the French, German's use the lion's teeth as their word for dandelions although there are at least another dozen, mostly to do with its reputed effect on the urinary tract!

Early morning walk as Angie had an appointment in town. Following on from yesterday's rant on 'golf course' farming, here at least one field allowed to bloom.... for the moment. When I first visited the region, the Allgäu, over 30 years ago at this time of year, it seemed the entire countryside was a field of gold. But nowadays, few farmers feed fresh grass or make hay, simply relying on silage or as yesterday dried grass pellets.
