Flossmo

Small but perfectly formed

It's been a beautiful day of warm sunshine.

This morning I went to have look at what was happening in the pond and lo and behold many of the tadpoles have become fully formed little toads; tiny, beautiful creatures, perhaps a little over a centimetre long. There are also still plenty in various stages of development - some with just tails and some with back but not yet front legs. Altogether there must be between fifty and a hundred of them. I imagine there will be losses along the way but if we aren't careful we will be on the road to becoming a toad sanctuary. Anyway, they are supposed to be good for the garden.
