WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Seeing the sights in Morecambe!

We’ve had a gorgeous day! We went on the train - a direct route from our village to Morecambe which took about an hour. We walked along the prom and I went on the beach but dogs weren’t allowed so Frank stayed on the prom with Bella.
We did a few charity shops where Bella was given loads of treats.
We sat on benches now and then just to take in the views of the bay.
Later we went to the iconic Midland Hotel - a lovely Art Deco building for a beer outside sitting on comfy Adirondack chairs. We got chatting to lots of different people who came over to see Bella.
My Mum and Dad actually first met in the hotel when they were both learning their Silver Service.
The seagulls were very cheeky and as soon as anyone vacated their table they were on it clearing plates and knocking glasses over - you may be able to see broken glass on the ground in the extra. People were complaining but I just think it’s human’s fault for leaving food lying about. What do they expect at the seaside?
We had sunshine all day it was wonderful.
Bella wasn’t keen on train travel but she eventually settled.
We got the train back at 5.30pm and were home at 7pm.
An early night I think as we’re both so tired now.

Goodnight :-) x

PS  - The poem is almost finished, I wrote it on the train - it will be on tomorrows Blip.
