Sambucus Nigra "Black Lace"

Love this bush a relative of the Elderberry.

Sambucus nigra ‘Black Lace’ has very finely cut, almost black foliage, which is the perfect foil to the pink-flushed blooms, which are followed by red-black elderberries. In autumn, its leaves turn a rich red. To produce the best coloured leaves, prune plants back to ground level every year in early spring (bear in mind this may be at the expense of flowers and fruit). It works well when planted on its own or as part of a hedge.
I first saw one of these some years ago in the garden of a house my son was renting at the time. It was spectacular as it was a hedge so quite large. I took some cuttings and raised this one it's always lovely and a talking point as it's got these blue/black leaves and pink blossom.
A lovely day today, still no parcel so have cancelled it and ordering from Amazon instead (next day delivery and a delivery time slot)
Potted on some small plants into tubs, nearly done now just a few petunias to pot up. Watered all my hanging baskets and newly planted plants. Looks like it's going to be a few nice warm to hot days ahead, then back to cooler weather again, typically British weather that. Ha ha haa
Got Molly to not only eat some treats but some hot dog sausages. The vet would have a fit but if it keeps her alive and not starving to death then it's got to be OK, hasn't it!
