Dog walk today was along the Trent. This image made most impression on me today in the bright sun. Today's wildlife was a swan and signets, dazzling blue Damson Flies (I think) and a black version. The powerlines overhead hint at the local riverside power station.

Watched episode 1 of a new BBC murder drama serial centred around a local mining town still bearing the scars of the miners ( vs Maggie Thatcher) strike of 1984. Highly recommended.
