Twin Pipe

..not what my car loving son would mean by it.

A malfunctioning quire organ last night led to the recital audience moving to the other side of the screen to continue listening on the nave organ. Unfortunately the complex Messiaen could not be played, unpractised on the other installation.

Tom Bell is a showman as well as an innovator (he's played with a beat boxer on BBC R3). He comically narrated when the Rector Chori delved into the quire organ to try to fix it, but to no avail.

He also used the flippant term "two pipes" to describe the two organ's.

Joseph Bonnet's Variations de Concert Op 1 was the outstanding opener. William Bolcom of interest too.
