Goose family

Apparently there used to be 11 goslings, there are still 9 today. All busy pecking and preening under the watchful eye of mum and dad. We were on our was to Marks and Spencer later in the afternoon to collect a parcel and pick up a free cake.

Earlier I’d been out to lunch with John, a school friend from since the 1970s. This was an unexpected event as he’s on the verge of moving to Wiltshire to live near his two boys and their families. They were expecting to be there by now and our last meeting in April was supposed to be our last.

Not so, you know what buying and selling houses can be like. They’re now on another buyer and hoping to buy a different house to the one they originally offered. All being well, this time everything will work out for them.

On a bike ride on Romney Marsh with friends tomorrow. Cafes, railways and a cycle along the seashore are in the offing. Hope the good weather continues.

With the allotments, we may have won one battle but there’s still a way to go before we’re safe. Things are looking up.
