Helicopters- Sycamore Seeds

As a child I loved these.
Amber arrived this morning for a holiday while her folks sun themselves in Crete for ten days. Geordie is delighted - he loves having a big sister, even though she pretty much ignores him.
We went for a good long walk in the woods at Shell Bay this morning. It was warm, with no wind, and we only met one other person.
All the woodland smells seemed to be enhanced today, and changed throughout our walk. The wildflower meadow was jam-packed with flowers. Mainly Dame’s rocket, but dotted around were huge red poppies, some yellow irises, a few common wild orchids, and some tiny Meadow pea (Extra).
There was also lots of cow parsley dotted among the ferns (Extra).
When we got home I left the door open but it gradually got a lot colder, then we had a shower of rain, now it’s getting warmer again.
It’s Scotland - if you don’t like the weather, wait ten minutes.
