On The Beach

G and I met our visiting friends M&M for one of our favourite summer walks this morning from Holkham Beach to Wells Beach, stopping for a drink (and a bit of lunch in my case) at the cafe, then walking back along the path by the pinewoods - a 5 mile walk. We started off 3.5 hours after high tide, but there were still small streamlets of water to cross where we got our feet wet. There was also an area where the sand has clearly shifted, I quite like it that the beach is a living thing and changes from season to season. It’s been a lovely sunny day with a temperature up to 25C but with a nice breeze at the coast.
