Pre-Birthday Celebration

We had another wonderful day. It rained and stormed early. I made a tasty breakfast and we read awhile outside enjoying the mild breeze. At lunch, we indulged in another homemade ice cream cone. This time, we found a pleasant trail to walk off the calories. This interesting tree trunk was one of the fun things we saw as well as squirrels, a white tailed doe and her fawn and wildflowers. Along the trail, they’d put up posters to help identify trees, birds and butterflies that you might see. We got a small nap before joining Jamie, Renee, Parker, a nephew and a good friend for a nice pre-birthday Italian dinner and chocolate cake. They insisted we do a selfie with my balloons and sang happy birthday. It was such a thoughtful and enjoyable evening. I am truly blessed. We have leftovers for tomorrow’s lunch too.
