June is Peony Month

Peonies are one of my favorite flowers and they are blooming now.  I usually get "full blown" shots of them but I like this partially open one for a change.  The smooth cup form holding all that petal potential within with the red at the center just struck me.  It's "Flower Friday" and this is my selection, with a painterly effect.  I had a lot to choose from but peonies always win the prize.
