A Successful Garden Party

…despite the rain showers. I may have mentioned that I give this garden party as a raffle prize for my women’s golf club’s holiday party charity raffle. It always happens on the Friday closest to summer solstice…and the three co-hostesses chose to invite five women the last three years due to Covid. So eight lovely women tonight! It’s a great way to get to know women we might not regularly see. This is the first time in the five years we’ve done this that we’ve had to be inside most of the time, due to the rain.

Delightful nibbles, wine and friends. A wander in the garden with umbrellas, and a lot of questions and so on. Another successful party!

This peony says it all…drenched with rain it’s hanging its lovely head in the garden tonight.

The rain pattern that has been in place for months seems to be shifting and next week looks to be pretty darned nice. Thank goodness since the big botanical garden party is looming for Tuesday night! One down, one to go!!
