3 Craig Street Thirroul

Thirroul
Day 4

Well who knew that DH Lawrence lived in a house in Thirroul, called "Wyework."
Australian blipper SeriousFrolic did, and on her information, I did a bit of Google research and found the house, almost hidden behind a fence and some very overgrown shrubs and trees. A few yards up the road, a tiny pice of land overlooking the sea has a memorial dedicated to him, the DH Lawwrence reserve...see extras.. plus one more of Craig Street where properties are in the million dollar bracket.
I've also added a really pretty little house with lovely features, my favourite property in Thirroul.

"The reserve and a memorial commemorate D. H. Lawrence who was living in Australia at Thirroul in 1922 when he wrote the novel "Kangaroo". He spent four months in Australia, drawing on the experience to write one novel and collaborate on another. D.H. Lawrence`s novel Kangaroo put Thirroul on the map."
