Day 111 of 365 - St Michael?s House!

Welcome to day 111 of 365 (Finished image after Editing)

The original photo was taken this afternoon. It is of the recently refurbished and renamed St Michael's House. The building which is owned by Coventry Cathedral was used as the home of the Dean of the Cathedral up until 2011. The Georgian Townhouse dates back to approx 1720's. After the Blitz of Coventry on 14 November 1940 only the Front of the Townhouse and the cellars survived. The building was restored in the years following World War II and is now only one of two Grade II listed Georgian fronted buildings in the Coventry.

As always the shot was taken with my iPhone 5. The photo was taken using the camera App GCam for iPhone and saved as a TIFF file before any editing. The original image can be found here: Unedited original Image.

First of all I used Snapseed to edit the image. The edits were made by sharpening the image a little then boosting the contrast, saturation, ambiance and brightness. Next I used an App called Lens Light, to give the image a highlighted light effect over the street light. Finally I used the App Distressed FX to add extra texture to the image using the Cole overlay and the Lade Texture.
