Walking alongside the Shotover River …

….. ….. this afternoon; Coronet Peak in the background, plastered with snow.

It’s been a wintery day; car temp reading was -5°C at 10:00am, and never got above 6°.
But it was beautifully sunny and warm in the sun. I did yoga at my daughter’s this morning and I was delighted to get back to it.

The sky was a deep rosy pink early this morning, far pinker than it usually is, about 2.5 hours before sunrise. My longtime friend Mary just told me that those pink skies are because of the awful Tongan eruption. There’s an image in extras.
