Hoopoe in Flight

On a mission now to capture a good close up shot of the hoopoes who return here each year from Africa to nest. They are very nervous flighty birds that are hard to capture close up. The are beautiful with a pink crest and black and white striped body and a very pointy beak. In flight it is hard to see which end is which as you can see in this blip. They also have a very distinctive hoopoe call 'hoopoe hoopoe' and at one point this morning there were two cuckoos on one side of the house and the hoopoes on the other 'hoopoe cuckoo hoopoe cuckoo' - noisy here this morning!
