Summer Solstice Robin

We saw this dear little robin fledgling on our walk this morning.

This evening Ollie dog and I stood under the southerly oak tree soaking up the lovely warm last rays of the longest day. It was magical feeling the warm knobbly texture of the bark and seeing myriads of floating points of light from illuminated insects' wings.
