Finally completed the root chopping and dig over of the border with over large trees and shrubs - earlier view a few months ago..

Have left many smaller roots there as fertiliser over the next few years. Some mixed wild flower seeds that I planted a couple of years ago (in the shaded area under the silver birch) have flowered this year. Perhaps that's why the whole household are now in favour of including more of a natural look. It's taken a few years.

We'll have to see where the potted acers etc end up - not my taste.
