A Day Out

Such an unexpected blip!

We needed to investigate the options of repairing our strimmers so we went to a repairer in the north of the county. The two which we took were both unsuitable for repair, which was the outcome we expected.

We agreed to buy a new one and the seller sent us away while he put the item together and tested it. We had planned to go to Gelt Woods but he suggested Talkin Tarn. I'd never been here before and the thought that they may have a cafe spurred me on!

We bought a latte and an ice cream and walked the 1.3 miles around the tarn. Although it's named as a tarn, it's actually described as a kettle lake. Both are associated with the glaciation of Cumbria.

It was a lovely time-out for us but unfortunately, there was a problem with our strimmer so we couldn't bring it home. Another visit will be needed soon.
