Wanderings & Witterings

Townhead

Tuesday's walk with the Ramblers took us on a circular route around Kilsyth. Part of the walk was in the Colzium Estate where we provided some nourishment for the local midges, a treat that meant our mid-walk break was shorter than usual.

The level of the water in Banton Loch, aka Townhead Reservoir, continues to be very low; it's been like that for a while. While a prolonged period of heavy rain would not be welcomed by the those of us who like our walks to be dry, I can't help feeling that it would be good news for our rivers and reservoirs.
