Wanderings & Witterings

Foreshore

One of these days when our Ramblers walk went like clockwork (well almost: two of our group somehow managed to get lost on the outward journey between Cumbernauld and Bo'ness and ended up in Polmont.) So, with two fewer people than planned, we headed from the car park near the Foreshore uphill past the town hall to the Kinneil Estate where we had our first break.

A wee circuit up there with glorious views over the river and taking in some of the history, and then a descent back to the Foreshore where we did another circuit, this time of the nature reserve and the Foreshore path, from where today's Blip was taken.

The weather was excellent, the company good, the leader superb (in my opinion, and as today's leader I am entitled to that view!) and our post-walk ice-cream and coffee was most enjoyable too. A grand day out, even if I say so myself.
