Wanderings & Witterings

Un/familiar

Drove down to Lochgilphead this afternoon for a few days R&R and to tick off a few more miles on my 2022 Canal Challenge. The Crinan Canal will be a welcome change from my usual haunts.

Walked along the Canal into Ardrishaig this evening and came across the Kelpies maquettes at the pier. (I'd forgotten they were here!) A wee reminder of home, even though home is just 2-3 hours up the road.

In other news, my walk back to Lochgilphead took me over the half-way mark on my challenge. I reckon I've now walked 101 miles on Scotland's canals this year; only another 99 to go and with fair wind I'll do a few of these this weekend.
