A splash of colour

Up at 7.30 a.m. and out for a wander over the back on a butterfly hunt.  Lots of meadow browns and large heaths but nothing else.  A burnet moth and also a beautiful Jersey Tiger moth (see extra).

Back home, washing done and out, then a trip round to our friends house to pick strawberries and try and clear some more of the duckweed from the pond, carefully putting any trapped tadpoles back.

Home again to find the "squirrel-proof" feeder charging around the patio with a trapped squirrel.  They just don't learn.

I think this is the last of the ornamental poppies.  I did have to remove a snail, which is now residing in the green bin.
