You Gotta Go There To Come Back

After much deliberation, we decided to risk the train into London today - I really didn’t fancy driving and the price of the tickets was cheaper than fuel/parking would have been. Definitely a reduced service but the very helpful member of staff at the station assured us there would be at least two trains we would be able to catch after the concert.
With a few hours to kill we headed for the Tower of London to see the “Superbloom” exhibition in the moat. 20 million seeds scattered earlier this year are now in full flower. Pleasingly, this is the just the first year of what is now a permanent change to the moat. There will be wonderful floral displays each year for generations to come and it will hopefully attract bees and other pollinators. The picture shows one of the copper sculptures representing those insects, looking up from the moat towards Tower Bridge.
We should have time for a quick trip to Covent Garden before heading off to the Royal Albert Hall to see the Beach Boys.
And then we’ll find out if there really is a train that will get us back to the hotel…
