Purple Sprouting Broccoli

A dry day, sunny for a while this morning but cloudier, windy and cool this afternoon. An ideal day for gardening though! I transplanted more seedlings, planted some established plants into the garden and generally moved things around, plenty to do at this time of the year.

Today's blip is one of my very disappointing sprouting broccoli plants, there are a few more but nothing like as productive as last year - I will save it until the weekend before cutting for the table.

There were a couple of bumble bees around today and I spotted a ladybird.
