Snaefell

I have climbed the highest mountains in England, Wales and Scotland, but today we ascended the highest mountain in Isle of Man......just over 2,000 ft.,  not really a mountain, more a hill, but it was fun...... the others I climbed on foot, (well, we went up Snowdon on a mountain railway, but the next day we climbed it on foot) ........but this one I went up on the mountain tramway.  We walked the last bit up to the trig point, and had our photo taken.  It was interesting, and we were luckier than the people who went up the day before, as they were in the mist and saw nothing.  We had a beautiful day, the weather has been in the 20's since we got here and very pleasant it is.

We then visited the village of Laxey, which was lovely, with a beautiful beach, lots of swimmers about too.  We sat and people watched for a while and had a huge ice cream.

Back in Douglas we sauntered along the promenade to our hotel, it was too hot to hurry, and we had another ice cream!
