Douglas

My main photo is taken from the Promenade in Douglas.  After breakfast we walked along the prom, which I am told is over 2 miles long, to the town centre and decided to take a bus to Ramsey.  It took only half an hour and we saw a bit of the island we had not seen, mostly rural as the bus went inland.

Ramsey was a bit of a disappointment, just a town like any other, but it did have an industrial harbour which was interesting to see.

We came back to Douglas on the electric tram, which hugs the coastline, and gave us some superb views.  It takes an hour and a half but is much more spectacular than the bus trip.  There is an enclosed carriage and an open one, and we opted for the open one like many others, as the day was hot.

Another ice cream was in order when we got back to Douglas, as today is hot!  No complaints.

Some entertainment tonight in the hotel, a guy with a guitar, singing songs of the sixties (very badly)!!!!
