Screen patterns on hosta leaves

We put a screen behind one of the veggie beds that has a hosta in a pot behind it. It's been so hot the past couple of days, and the lettuce needed shade. I noticed the sun shining through the screen, making cool patterns on the hosta leaves.
An old bed sheet has been attached to the top of the screen and to part of the sides of the veggie bed. Quite the contraption! The two small polytunnels are also covered with old sheets to shade the veggies. I might take a photo, not very attractive but they do the job and that's all I care about.  :-)
No brisk walk today, too hot, but a quiet stroll in the trail by our house, so lovely and cool in the forest. I managed to get quite a bit done in the garden  which has suddenly gone crazy in the heat. It was lovely to sit out there to eat lunch and enjoy looking at the results of some hard work. G just got home from golf, so I think we'll sit in the garden for awhile before it's time to make supper.  Sunday Soup: Italian vegetable with lots of spinach, arugula and kale from the garden.
