It's a mystery

Early morning up on the plot, lifting some of my onion crop. They are beginning to bolt so out they came. Just Sturon for now. Once I've cleaned them and got them drying I'll lift the others. The rain has brought the slugs & snails out, one courgette plant munched to bits, a couple of other slight damage. There is always something to keep you on your toes when growing fruit & veg. The blackcurrants are ripening nicely, the gooseberries nearly ready, the blackbirds are quite fond of the berries so I've attempted netting them. What I don't want is anything  caught up in the netting.
Mum needed shopping some nipped up to the town grabbed dog food & milk ,dropped that down & brought back her vacuum cleaner which is'nt picking up. I stripped it down, washed the filter, washed other sections, now waiting for filter to dry before re-assemblying.
Hubby rang from hospital, just waiting to see physio before being released. Did the housework, lunch, then picked hubby up from Exeter. Back to watch the tennis from Wimbledon. Brilliant men's match, next on court Serena Williams v Melody Tan, ops! Harmony Tan ... well I was close :-) Juggled making dinner with watching the match. First potatoes, broad beans, & onions from the plot this year. Had to be roast lamb. Fantastic match! Harmony eventually beating Serena. Think her name will be all over the newspapers tomorrow. What a shock result.
