A Walk with Angela

We head to Oxford for a long weekend tomorrow so this morning was about doing all those things prior to a journey:  filling up the bird feeders (which need doing again!); cleaning out Shep; bringing up the bin; making some blackcurrant coulis and banana muffins to take; collecting the dry cleaning and storing away the winter duvet, so I was glad when Angela suggested an afternoon walk, especially as the sun had emerged.

We decided on a route we haven't done in a while, with a shortened second half, down to the caravan park and up to Wilsden Hill, a circumnavigation of the hill and back across the fields.  We were busy catching up and walked past the footpath so had to turn and retrace our steps to this hole in the wall.  Creme eggs kept up the energy levels and we were back in the village four miles later just before a small shower.

I've had a cuppa and read a few pages of my Jimmy Perez, which now have an added dimension following our holiday on Shetland, done some packing and shortly I'll peel some potatoes for our bangers and mash dinner, which will use up some of the leftover veg.
