Old friends

Out to lunch today, meeting old friends. We converged on a pub near Basingstoke, coming from Dorset, Midlands, Sussex, Surrey and nearby Hampshire. Seven of us are all that remains of a very strong friendship group of twelve that first came together in the 1950s in N’s church youth club. Sadly N is the only husband remaining, but he coped with the female company today. It is a great tribute to this friendship that everyone still wants to meet. Already there is talk of another meeting before Christmas.
The window boxes outside the pub were worth blipping.
